Welcome to Kids Act Out CPT! We are thrilled to bring the exciting world of theatre to your schools and help students explore their creativity, develop their social and emotional skills, and enhance their academic progress through the arts.
Our six week programs focus on teaching the principles and practices of theatre while making meaningful connections to real-life experiences.
Once you have registered you will receive an email with specific information about your child’s class or production.
Both offerings begin the week of April 6th and conclude the week of May 11th.
Creating Character: A Mini Musical Theatre Boot Camp for Kids!
Grades K-2
Meets once a week, at Hyde Park Elementary, on Wednesdays- 2:30 – 3:30 pm, for 6 weeks.

Welcome to “Creating Character,” a fun-filled mini musical theatre boot camp designed for our youngest actors! In this interactive class, children will dive into the magical world of storytelling through speaking, movement, music, and creative expression.
What to expect:
– Character Building: Kids will learn to bring characters to life through voice, body movement, and imagination, expressing emotions and telling engaging stories.
- Singing and Dancing: Each session features catchy tunes and easy choreography, encouraging children to sing, dance, and move while fostering confidence and creativity.

Imagination Station: Children will engage in imaginative play, creating their own characters and stories with guidance from their teacher.

Performance Showcase: Families are invited to a delightful showcase at the end of the boot camp, where kids will present their newfound skills and shine on stage!

Friendship and Fun: “Creating Character” promotes teamwork, building social and emotional skills in a nurturing, playful environment. We aim to ensuring every child leaves with foundational knowledge of staged theatre and the skills needed to create characters for stage.
Musical Theatre Production Workshop: “Beauty and the Beast: An Enchanted Tale!”
Beauty and the Beast production workshop will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:20- 4:30 pm in the Multipurpose room for six weeks.
The performance date will be Saturday May 17th @ 2:30 pm. (Location of performance TBD)

The spring production workshop will be Beauty and the Beast. Get ready for a story that’s anything but ordinary! Join Belle, a bookworm who embarks on an adventure that leads to a beastly encounter, and a castle filled with singing furniture. Meanwhile, the town bully Gaston, flexes his muscles, convinced that his looks will win Belle’s heart.
In this whimsical tale, everyone is on a journey to discover what it means to be love, and be loved in return!
