The Clifton Players and Clifton Performance Theatre was founded by Artistic Director, Carol Brammer. Carol’s skills on stage and teaching youth are well-known in the greater Cincinnati theatre community, and beyond. Our 9 year youth programs have proven very successful with helping young people grow in their social skills and theatrical talent.
“This summer was my daughter’s first experience with Clifton Performance Theater camp. She had a great time and enjoyed the kids, the work, and performing (which she had never really done except for the occasional school music class recital). But I was completely in awe of the result that you are able to produce in just one week’s time. It was truly an impressive feat! And I really enjoyed your introduction and wrap-up with the kids pre- and post-performance on the weekend. It was evident that the camp is much more than an enjoyable theater educational exercise; it is an opportunity to build confident, goal-setting, and risk-taking kids. Thank you for the great work you are doing—it is inspirational and much appreciated!” – Beth S.
“I would like to thank you and all of the counselors and staff at Clifton Performance Theatre for an absolutely wonderful week of summer theatre camp! My 6 year old son participated in last week’s production of Peter Pan and the experience had a profoundly positive effect on him. He came home each day after camp excited to tell us about the process of creating the show and about the goals he set for himself. The nurturing and supportive atmosphere built his confidence and empowered him to do his best in something he had never tried before. During the car ride home after the first show on Saturday, he kept saying “I’m so proud of myself!” This was music to my ears, as he has been struggling to find his “fit” recently. In fact, it was such a good experience that I have registered him for another week of theatre camp later in the summer. I am hopeful that the seeds have been planted for a lifelong love of theatre and the arts. Thank you for helping all the children at camp embrace their creativity! ” – Jessica W.
